Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Refrigeration Mobile Technician to join our team. Coverage areas include Fort Myers, Sarasota, and surrounding areas. The qualified candidate will be responsible for maintaining current and existing accounts, performing all levels of maintenance services, diagnosing, overhauling, and repairing refrigeration units for commercial trucks and trailers. This role requires strong proficiency in diesel, electrical, and HVAC diagnostics.
Preferred: Thermo King Professional or Master Technician Certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on Thermo King refrigeration units.
- Repair and Troubleshoot: Repair and troubleshoot reefer equipment.
- Inspections: Conduct inspections to identify issues and ensure functionality.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during service calls.
- Mobility: Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, and sit. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs or more.
- Technical Proficiency: Understand diesel, electrical, and refrigeration mechanics.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform diesel and electrical diagnostics.
- Use HVAC certification for maintenance and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with customers/drivers.
- Use basic computer skills: PC, Windows, and Outlook.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Must have diesel mechanic experience and most of the required tools to start. Training may be available for beginner and middle-level technicians.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensing: Must have a valid driver's license.
- Testing: Candidate must pass a drug test and background check.
- Skills: Effective communication, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining and repairing equipment.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish recommended but not required.
- Own tools to get started
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay Range: $39 to $42 hourly (based on experience level).
- Equipment: Company mobile service truck provided and supplied with parts inventory.
