What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director-Baton Rouge position at Gulf Coast Social Services?
The Regional Director is directly responsible to the CEO or designee for the management, development, and operations of the assigned region and all programs in that region. The Regional Director is responsible to ensure regional programs meet our clients' needs and to ensure that all regional programs and operations meet the goals of the Agency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Supervise direct reports in the performance of their respective responsibilities.
2. Oversee management of programs to maintain compliance with all licensing and regulatory agencies.
3. Oversee record-keeping systems which keep all records up-to-date and within compliance.
4. Monitor the approved budgets and take appropriate action to maintain the fiscal soundness of the region.
5. Maintain a positive community image and relationships.
6. Monitor client treatment delivery systems within the region.
7. Oversee management of property in compliance with fire, safety, health, and licensing standards.
8. Report and be accountable for regional issues to the CEO or designee and be available on-call outside of regular business hours.
9. Develop annual goals and objectives for the region. Implement all approved annual goals and objectives
10. Initiate and manage fundraising activities within the region.
11. Monitor the region’s use of community resources.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain positive relationships with state agencies, consumers and their families, and promote cooperative teamwork within the region.
2. Assist in other similar job-related duties, as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. The position requires a Master's Degree with a minimum of three (3) years human services experience in management and supervision, or a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five (5) years human services experience in management and supervision.
2. The position requires demonstrated abilities in management and operations, the development of sound, behaviorally based treatment programs, program management, personnel management, and adherence to the highest standards of excellence.
3. The position requires a reasonable combination of the following competencies: budget development, staff development, fiscal accountability, property management, client advocacy, public relations, and community resource development.
4. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the Agency in a highly professional manner.
5. Proven ability to organize and prioritize work, and to meet deadlines.
6. A valid driver’s license per Louisiana law, current liability insurance, and access to a properly registered and inspected vehicle in safe operating condition.

Pay: $74,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
