Job Summary:
The Program Director is responsible to the Regional Director for overseeing the development, operations, and management of programs designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities. This position requires a reasonable combination of budget development, staff development, property management, client advocacy, public relations, and community resource development.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage staff.
- Manage the budget and maintain a sound financial base.
- Manage program property.
- Participate in staffing and approved treatment plans.
- Manage community board activities and client support systems for programs.
- Promote and ensure maximum normalization opportunities for clients.
- Develop and maintain effective client services in compliance with funding agency requirements.
- Advocate for Agency programs and clients.
- Manage program consultation and contract, and ensure that these services meet client needs.
- Maintain positive public relationships with funding, regulatory and consumer groups.
- Implement and maintain ethically sound policies and procedures.
- Ensure coverage as outlined in the Plan of Care / Treatment Plan.
- Assist in other duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain positive relationships with state agencies, consumers, and their families, and promote cooperative teamwork.
- Assist in other similar job-related duties, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Master's Degree in a related field or a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in human services.
- Abilities in program management and operations, the development of sound, behaviorally based treatment programs, program management, personnel management, development and implementations of training for staff and clients and counseling, and adherence to ethical/professional standards.
- Good Verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the Agency in a highly professional manner.
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- A valid Louisiana Driver's License, access to a reliable vehicle for transportation and current liability insurance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,000.00 - $50,003.00 per year
