What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Service Worker (DSW) Lake Charles area and Jennings area position at Gulf Coast Social Services?
The Lake Charles regional office is seeking a Direct Service Worker to work with individuals in the Lake Charles area and Jennings are with daily living tasks. Services will be rendered in the client’s home and in the community.
This position requires a high school diploma/GED/trade school diploma and a minimum of 18 years of age along with a sincere interest in working with and helping individuals reach their maximum potential. This position requires an individual with good reading and writing skills along with the qualities of patience, empathy, dependability, and the ability to teach others. The ability to handle multiple responsibilities with accuracy and the ability to accept direction from supervisor required.
Applicant must have a valid form of identification, driver's license, and reliable transportation. EOE.
Days, evenings and overnights available.
Shift openings
Lake Charles area 7am-7pm
Jennings area 3pm-11 pm
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $9.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
