Role Description The Transportation Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Biloxi, MS, responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations and fleet activities. This role manages delivery schedules, routes, and driver assignments to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective distribution of products across the Gulf Coast service area. The Transportation Manager monitors vehicle maintenance and compliance, coordinates with warehouse and operations teams, and tracks performance metrics such as on-time delivery and transportation costs. This position also handles customer inquiries related to deliveries, resolves issues, and maintains strong communication with internal departments, drivers, and external partners. The role involves continuous process improvement, adherence to food safety and quality standards during transit, and supporting a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications
- Strong Operations Management and Transportation Management skills to oversee daily logistics, routing, and compliance.
- Experience in Fleet Management, including vehicle maintenance coordination, driver supervision, and safety program implementation.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to manage delivery-related inquiries and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to analyze data, optimize routes, and control transportation costs while maintaining service quality.
- Knowledge of food distribution or perishable goods logistics, including cold chain and food safety considerations, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing or coaching transportation or logistics teams.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems, routing software, and basic computer applications (e.g., Excel, email, reporting tools).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Biloxi, MS, and adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
