Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Machinist role based in Houma, LA. The Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining precision machining tools to produce high-quality components as per specifications. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up and adjusting machines, performing routine equipment maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The role involves working closely with production teams to meet project timelines and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements accurately
- Knowledge of machining techniques, material properties, and industry safety practices
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on producing high-quality work
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors
- Prior experience in machining or manufacturing is preferable
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus
