JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Civil Maintenance Mechanic position will provide support to maintenance, engineering, and production departments to ensure greater efficiencies, reliability, and structural/building/facilities related projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
● At least 3-5 years of civil maintenance experience fabricating, repairing, and troubleshooting in several of the following disciplines:
○ Pipe Fitting
○ Certified Structural Welding
○ Certified Pipe Welding
○ Construction/Erection/Fitter/Rigger - Iron Work
○ Crane operation
○ Heavy Equipment operation
○ Plumbing
○ Carpentry
○ Masonry
○ Millwright
○ Commercial AC-Heating
● Ability to learn process, equipment specifications and company standards by actively consulting resources, associates, manuals, training department and policies
● Able to work with minimal supervision within a team environment.
● Ability to work independently.
● Strong sense of urgency.
● Able to effectively communicate with all members of the team.
● Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
● Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
● Other duties as assigned by the manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
● Working in tight space/quarters
● Perform work exposed to weather conditions: heat, cold wind, rain, high humidity
● Temperature: routinely exceeding 100 degrees F
● Noise: hearing protection required
● Chemicals/smoke: protective clothing, respiratory, and eye protection required
● Fumes/odors/dust: respiratory protection required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Stand for long periods on hard surfaces: including concrete, tile, metal grating
● Climb stairs, ladders and working at heights
● Perform work involving twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling and bending
● Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes and other powered industrial equipment
● Breathe without difficulty/use respirator WEIGHT HANDLING:
● Lift Up to 50 pounds; Carry Up to 25 pounds

Equipment Maintenance, technical understanding, technical zeal, deals well with uncertainty, safe work practices, power tools, attention to detail, flexibility, welding (SMAW), forklift operations, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, elevated work, JSA, blueprint reading., and ability to transfer information to others.
