What are the responsibilities and job description for the PIM Coordinator position at Guitar Center?
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The PIM Coordinator is an entry-level position at Guitar Center primarily responsible for entry and maintenance of item data in our enterprise Product Information Management (PIM) system and the subsequent validation of item data in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. When entering item data into the PIM system, the PIM Coordinator is responsible for reviewing the completeness of item information required to update existing item records and to create new products. Tasks involve extensive use of email, direct messages, and spreadsheets for managing and maintaining item data, evaluating data integrity on data governance reports, and identifying and resolving system issues and errors caused by incomplete or invalid item data.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Enters product and SKU data into the PIM system through manual data entry or by importing data on spreadsheets while ensuring data quality and completeness.
- Researches and resolves update failures or system errors generated during the entry process.
- Helps troubleshoot, identify and fix system issues caused by incorrect or incomplete data.
- Assists category management, inventory and other enterprise teams with data integrity and governance, utilizing SOP guides and exception reports to facilitate and ensure data quality.
- Responds to all PIM-related inter-departmental correspondence with a sense of urgency.
- Processes all tickets and requests that meet PIM guidelines.
- Meets or exceeds service level goals to complete tickets and process requests on-time.
- Covers tasks normally assigned to other PIM Coordinators when they are out of office.
- Handles additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Skilled proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Proficiency with computers running on Windows operating system.

Pay Rate: $21.00- $24.00/hr depending on background and experience.
