Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner role based in Greensboro, NC. The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient care, including conducting assessments, obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions under established protocols. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications and therapies, and developing evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. The role involves providing patient and family education on disease management, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications, as well as documenting all encounters accurately in the electronic health record. The Nurse Practitioner will participate in care coordination, collaborate with the clinical team to optimize workflows, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support a safe, respectful, and inclusive care environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) with current licensure in the state of North Carolina, with national board certification in an appropriate specialty (e.g., Adult-Gerontology, Family, or Internal Medicine).
- Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, including experience managing common acute and chronic medical conditions in an outpatient or primary care setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), clinical documentation, ordering and reviewing labs and imaging, and managing clinical workflows efficiently.
- Strong patient education and communication abilities, including explaining diagnoses and treatment plans in clear terms and providing culturally sensitive care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, exercise sound clinical judgment, and manage a steady patient schedule while maintaining high-quality care.
- Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; BLS certification required, with ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience in internal medicine, primary care, or adult outpatient care preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered.
