Job Description:The Guilderland Central School District is seeking a creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic Library Media Specialist for a full-time probationary opening located at Farnsworth Middle School beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities Include:
- Providing students with an enriched library environment containing a wide variety of print and media materials
- Maintaining a diverse collection that is responsive to student interests and curricular needs
- Collaborating with teachers to develop units and design and deliver instruction
- Teaching students how to effectively search for, evaluate, and use information from various sources
- Assisting students in developing skills to access library resources including databases
- Integrating instructional technology tools and resources into the library to enhance learning and research opportunities
- Cataloging, organizing, and maintaining the library collection, including physical and digital resources
- Implementing effective circulation procedures to ensure access to materials for both students and staff
- Facilitating overall operation of the library
- Promoting and modeling a lifelong love of reading
