• NYS Elementary Education Certification.
• Teach the NYS elementary curriculum. Collaborate with colleagues.
• Good communication skills with students and parents.

Job Description:

Westmere Elementary is seeking a dynamic and collaborative professional to fill an 8-month LOA position in fourth grade. Hours are 7:25 am -3:20 pm and the position runs from Sept. 1 - May 5, 2027 with the possibility of extending through June 25, 2027.

Successful candidates should work well with students, be open to learning, enjoy collaborating with colleagues, have current NYS certification, be knowledgeable on the NYS standards, work well with students, be flexible, engaging, professional and have a positive personality.

Requirements include following weekly lesson plans that teach the NYS curriculum for all subjects — reading, writing, word study, math, science and social studies.
