Senior Director, Product Marketing

Guild
Denver, CO Full Time
POSTED ON 9/1/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/30/2026

About Guild:

Guild is on a mission to unlock opportunity for the workforce. We partner with leading employers, helping them attract and retain talent, build workforce capabilities, and create pathways into critical roles.

Our platform connects real-world learning, coaching, and career pathways, so employers can build talent for adaptability and employees can develop transferrable, in-demand, and durable skills for growth.

Employers like Chipotle, Target, Walgreens, JPMorgan Chase, Hilton, Spectrum, The Walt Disney Company and Providence Health work with Guild to turn education and skilling into strategic talent investments, leading to improved retention, increased internal mobility, and measurable ROI.

The bar for innovation and how we deliver this work, keeps rising as solutions for workforce challenges become more imperative to our businesses, economy, and communities. If you're excited about building the story and outcomes for a company that's defining how employers invest in their people and prepare for a new world of ongoing workforce transformation, you'll fit right in.

About You:

You are a strategic, hands-on product marketing leader who knows how to turn product, customer insight, market context, and company strategy into a clear story the whole business can use.

You are excellent at positioning and messaging across a multi-product portfolio. You can cite examples of how you've applied strategic narrative frameworks to make a complex, multi-part offering feel simple and differentiated. You know how to turn learning, coaching, data, and career-outcomes complexity into buyer value, field confidence, and customer clarity.

This is a leadership role, not a manager-first one. You'll level up existing product marketers and may build out the team further over time - but your sleeves are rolled up every day. You are a quarterback on the field, not a coach on the sidelines.

You Will:

Drive the Guild story

  • Own the core positioning, messaging, and buyer narrative for Guild's portfolio, and keep it consistent as the product, market, and commercial motion evolve.
  • Translate that narrative into clear GTM language across the website, sales deck, demo narrative, launch materials, customer proof, and enablement.
  • Make complex, multi-product capabilities easy for customers, Sales, Employer Partner Services, and Marketing to understand and use.

Turn product complexity into market clarity

  • Own launch and release readiness across GTM teams: launch briefs, release tiering, internal communications, field enablement inputs, customer messaging, and post-launch feedback.
  • Make sure every meaningful product change is translated into why it matters, who it matters for, how we explain it, and what teams need to do next.
  • Partner closely with Product on what's shipping, what changed, and what the field needs to know - and build the feedback loop that brings customer, competitive, and adoption insight back into Product.
  • Formulate a POV on pricing levers and lead workshops to solidify across key capability teams - drive implementation and iteration as needed

Build the enterprise Sales and EPS enablement spine

  • Create and guide the core enablement materials: talk tracks, objection handling, demo narrative, FAQs, proof points, launch guides, and customer-facing value messaging.
  • Define the buyer journey and adoption messaging across the customer lifecycle, and partner with Employer Partner Services and Solutions Design on adoption friction, time-to-value gaps, and proof opportunities.
  • Turn customer wins, usage signals, objections, and ROI examples into proof that Sales, Employer Partner Services, Marketing, and executives can use.
  • Partner with field leaders to understand whether the story is landing and where teams need more clarity, proof, or coaching.

Lead the PMM function

  • Run the PMM operating model across positioning, launch execution, enablement support, and customer proof - leveling up existing product marketers and guiding the function as it scales.
  • Clearly define product marketing's scope relative to adjacent functions like content, campaigns, product management, and solutions consulting, so the whole org knows who owns what.
  • Build repeatable PMM systems, not one-off heroic work, and raise the quality bar for clarity, narrative, launch execution, and field readiness.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Guild has one clear story across the website, sales deck, demo narrative, enablement, and customer proof.
  • Sales and Employer Partner Services teams can explain, demo, and support Guild's portfolio with confidence and consistency.
  • Product launches are clearer, better sequenced, and easier for GTM teams and customers to absorb.
  • Customers understand what they bought, how to adopt it, and how to get value faster - and that proof compounds into expansion, retention, and advocacy.
  • PMM operates as a scaling system for the company, with a clear operating model, not a set of scattered deliverables.

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • 12 years of B2B marketing leadership experience, including 7 years specifically in product marketing in a B2B enterprise and/or marketplace environment. HR or education-specific experience is helpful but not required.
  • Excellent positioning and messaging judgment. You can turn strategy, product detail, customer truth, and market context into a story that sells.
  • Experience building or leading product marketing at a fast-scaling B2B SaaS or enterprise services company.
  • Experience managing or mentoring product marketers.
  • Comfort using AI tools to move faster - research, content drafting, and signal analysis - as a way to operate like a larger PMM function before adding headcount.
  • Proven ability to build product launch and release systems that help GTM teams understand, sell, onboard, and support new capabilities.
  • Strong field enablement instincts: sales narrative, demo story, objection handling, proof points, and customer-facing value messaging - with a track record of driving adoption, not just producing assets.
  • Enough product depth to understand learning, coaching, data, and career-outcomes complexity - and translate it into buyer value.
  • A hands-on operating style. You're comfortable writing the brief, building the deck, shaping the talk track, and shipping the work yourself.
  • Exceptional writing craft. You produce and review copy at high volume and a high bar - headlines, web, deck, launch, and enablement - and you make other people's writing better.
  • Comfort working directly with executives - pressure-testing assumptions and translating strategy into narrative.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience marketing to or working with large-employer verticals such as healthcare, retail, financial services, or manufacturing.
