What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Fleet Manager position at Guild Garage Group?
Remote position with travel. Preferably someone in TX, FL, OK, NY or TN.
The Fleet Manager oversees all aspects of the company’s fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant and efficient. This includes sourcing, managing and negotiating commercial leases, tracking and maintaining telematics data, managing fuel card programs, while maintaining detailed records of vehicle maintenance and optimizing fleet performance. An essential duty of this role is proactively analyzing fleet performance reports and coordinating efforts with field management to constantly seek cost savings and minimizing operations expenses related to fleet. Managing fleet at 15 locations across the country.
Experience in fleet management in a home services industry and/or acquisitions preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management: Manage Fleet Management Software (FMS), telematics and fuel card programs.
- Procurement: Act as a key liaison between our Fleet partners and field locations. Collaborate and provide operational support with field locations to source vehicles as quickly as possible to minimize technician downtime. Recommend vehicle types based on company standards, vehicle performance and costs.
- Communicate with brand presidents and field management to monitor and achieve fleet related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to vehicle performance, safety, costs and compliance protocols.
- Fleet Maintenance & Compliance: Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, coordinating repairs, and ensuring with regulatory standards.
- Telematics & Fleet Tracking: Utilize telematics data to monitor vehicle locations, driver behavior, fuel usage, and performance metrics.
- Fuel Card Management: Administer fuel card programs, monitor fuel expense, and analyze fuel efficiency.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, registrations, and compliance history.
- Budget Management & Cost: Manage fleet budgets, analyze operational costs, and make cost-effective recommendations.
- Safety Standards: Implement and uphold safety protocols and training to minimize risks and ensure driver and vehicle safety.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct periodic site visits to assess the condition of the fleet, provide fleet-related training (as needed), and enforce compliance.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills. Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of fleet management software, commercial lease backs, and regulatory requirements for fleet operations.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge about the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in CRM software, particularly Service Titan.
- Organizational, time management and analytical skills.
- Clean motor vehicle record and valid driver’s license.
- PC/Windows skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
