Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Leawood, KS, for a Lead Montessori Guide (Teacher). The Lead Montessori Guide will be responsible for creating and maintaining an enriching Montessori environment, guiding students through their individualized learning plans, and supporting them in their personal development. The guide will also foster a love of learning, partner with families to provide consistent and collaborative support, and mentor assistant teachers to uphold Montessori values and methods while ensuring classroom management and safety.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Montessori teaching methods and practice
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with guiding children’s independence and promoting practical life skill development
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication, and the ability to effectively collaborate with families
- Passion for early childhood education and child development
- Montessori teaching certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited) required
- Experience with children ages 3-6; infant/toddler expertise is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred
