What You Will Do:
Guidehouse’s Technology Innovation & Management (TIM) group within Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure (ES&I) practice is seeking an experienced professional to advise a public sector client on the development and execution of a climate and energy focused communications program. TIM provides technical and market analysis, research, and strategic planning and analysis support related to emerging energy technologies, policies, and initiatives for the public sector. The TIM strategy and analysis team supports the Department of Energy, NGOs, and state/regional energy organizations in strategic planning, research and development roadmaps, stakeholder engagement, federal accelerators, technology deployment and scaling programs, decarbonization pathways and analysis, and other policy analysis, data collection/modeling, and research projects related to energy efficient and emerging low-carbon building technologies. Specific responsibilities may include
- Develop and implement communication strategies is support of the client’s clean energy programs.
- Support the development and implementation of a broad variety of communications efforts.
- Provide communications expertise and support for websites, social media, events, presentation materials, leadership talking points, and other communication vehicles.
- Advise on public relations and public affairs.
- Evaluate metrics of communication initiatives to improve strategies.
What You Will Need:
- Five (5) years of professional experience in a related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree in Communications or Organizational Development preferred.
- Demonstrated experience applying strategic communications principles and best practices.
- Ability to understand and tailor messaging to a variety of audiences and channels.
- Understanding of and experience using social media platforms in a professional setting (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Ability to effectively present technical topics in a business-oriented fashion to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail.
- Well-organized with demonstrated multi-tasking skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications preferred.
- Experience creating 508-compliant documents is preferred.
