We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for children and adults with behavioral health needs. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes through applied behavior analysis techniques.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
- Provide direct patient care to children, focusing on behavior management and skill acquisition.
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in developing and maintaining medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote learning and development.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to reinforce behavioral strategies at home.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients, promoting positive behavior changes.
Experience
- Previous experience in behavioral therapy or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental or behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices is beneficial.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
