Portfolio Accountant responsibilities include overseeing all financial aspects of multi family portfolio, month end financials, budgeting, reconciliations and overseeing accounts receivable/payable process. A background in property management, accounting, and budgeting is ideal.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial aspects of multifamily portfolio
- Collaborate with Property Managers and onsite managers for financial items
- Work with Portfolio Managers for client issues
- Report and escalate items to management as needed
- Month end financials and year end reporting
- Positive and innovative approach to problem solving
- Bank reconciliations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Previous experience working in the property management industry
- Proven working experience as an accountant or bookkeeper
- Excellent client and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge and fluency in Microsoft Office
- Preferred knowledge of AppFolio property management software
