About the Role
Guide Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Mentor/Direct Support Professional to support an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supported living setting. This is a one-on-one, community-based role focused on helping an individual build independence, life skills, and confidence while staying active in their community.

You’ll be working with Mr. P, who enjoys:
- Basketball games
- Movies
- Ice skating
- Technology
- Spending time with his cat
- Humor and joking around
Responsibilities
As a Mentor, you will coach and support in the following areas:
- Building independent cooking skills
- Laundry and household routines
- Maintaining a clean and organized home
- Participating in community activities
- Strengthening daily living skills and overall independence
- Maintaining detailed documentation

Minimum Requirements
- US Work Authorization
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years with no major violations
- High School Diploma or GED
- Dependable motor vehicle with a minimum liability limit of $100,000 or split limit of $100,000/$300,000
- Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Dependability, ability to maintain good attendance
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working with the Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled population
- Relevant Certifications such CPR, PMT, or DDS Safe Swallowing
