  • Manage IT financial planning and organizational leadership, including development and oversight of the operating budget and technology-related capital project budgets, leading staff and contractors across remote and hybrid environments, and representing IT in organization-wide initiatives and external partnerships
  • Lead emergency preparedness and response efforts, chairing the California Emergency Command Team and coordinating campus-wide emergency planning, drills, training, and incident response to safeguard staff, canines, constituents, facilities, and critical systems

What you’ll love:

  • Leading technology that directly supports a life-changing mission
  • Shaping long-term innovation, security, and accessibility strategy
  • Collaborating with a passionate, mission-focused leadership team
  • Working on our beautiful San Rafael campus with hybrid flexibility
  • Making a measurable impact on people, data, and dogs nationwide

The qualifications you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred; master’s degree, certifications, and emergency preparedness training desirable
  • 8 years of progressively responsible IT leadership experience in complex environments handling sensitive health and financial data, and strong budgeting, contract negotiation, and vendor management experience
  • Deep expertise in cybersecurity, infrastructure, data architecture, risk management, compliance, and system integration and demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise technology strategies, governance frameworks, and roadmaps
