DESCRIPTION
The Training and Development Coordinator will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for all GCLC employees.
- Assigns and monitors the completion of Relias Learning training plans and modules, ensuring training plans meet compliance and licensing requirements.
- Facilitates CPR and CPI classes for all GCLC employees in accordance with GCLC Policies and Procedures and licensing requirements.
- Coordinates training events by determining and securing date, time, location, and number of participants.
- Organizes, prepares materials, and arranges training room to support the learning objective.
- Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos.
- Facilitate group training sessions ensuring participant engagement and knowledge retention.
- Maintains training records and training calendars including attendance, course rosters, test results, and records of participation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning solutions.
- Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups and communication with managers.
- Design and/or acquires training manuals, guides and course materials and ensures training materials effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to department needs and compliance requirements.
- Support employee development through cross-training initiatives and customized learning modules.
- Collect data to help evaluate and analyze training needs and training effectiveness.
- Maintain confidentiality for all information regarding clients, staff, physicians, and GCLC obtained as a result of employment at GCLC.
- All other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director or CEO.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education, Experience and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of training experience including experience facilitating group training sessions and developing training plans.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
- Experience facilitating group training sessions and workshops.
- Must pass CYFD/FBI fingerprint clearance check to maintain employment.
- Must pass and maintain a Driving Record clearance in accordance with GCLC policies and procedures.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Preference given to qualified bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
LEVEL AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION
CONDITIONS OF WORK
Hiring and promotion will be accomplished in compliance with Guidance Center's Personnel Policies and Procedures. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. Hours and/or days may vary according to need. Overtime (time and 1/2) will be paid for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week. Travel is required of employees for delivery of services, training, or conferences. Personal transportation is mandatory.
