What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator / Lumber Yard Worker position at Gui's Lumber & Home Center?
At Gui's Lumber, we are looking to fill a position for our warehouse and lumber yard at our Niagara Falls lumber yard location. Applicants must be able to lift at least 75 pounds, willing to work outside and in all elements, and be customer oriented. Operating forklifts is an important aspect of this job, those inexperienced will be trained to do so. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient yard area while supporting various operations such as building orders and assisting customer with loading purchased materials. The employee must have attention to detail, the ability to operate heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load and unload materials safely.
- Assist in order picking and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance.
Requirements
