POSITION SUMMARY
Guevara Construction is seeking a Concrete Foreman / Finisher to lead and execute high-end custom residential and select commercial concrete projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing field operations while actively performing layout, prep, pouring, and finishing.
This position is for experienced professionals who take ownership of their work and can lead a jobsite with confidence.
The ideal candidate can run a project from demolition through final finish with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
This is a foreman-level position. Not entry level.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Execute projects from demolition through final finish with minimal rework
- Maintain accurate layout, grades, and elevations
- Lead and hold crew members accountable to company standards
- Deliver consistent high-quality stamped and decorative finishes
- Maintain production pace while protecting craftsmanship
- Coordinate pours and manage timing based on weather and site conditions
- Minimize callbacks and warranty issues
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
- Protect company equipment and materials
- Communicate job progress clearly with ownership
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily jobsite operations and crew coordination
- Perform layout, forming, grading, and site preparation
- Establish proper elevations and drainage slopes
- Coordinate concrete placement and finishing sequences
- Perform high-quality finishing including broom, smooth, and stamped finishes
- Maintain safe and professional jobsite operations
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope
Must be able to run a job from layout through final finish with minimal supervision.
CAPABILITIES / KEY COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills
- Strong layout and grade control experience
- Decorative and stamped concrete finishing
- Two-man and solo straightedge finishing
- Skid steer or equipment operation preferred
- Ability to read measurements and job specifications
Leadership Skills
- Crew leadership and accountability
- Clear and direct communication
- Problem-solving in field conditions
- Professional conduct on job sites
- High personal standards for craftsmanship
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years concrete finishing experience
- Experience leading or supervising a crew preferred
- Strong understanding of layout, forming, and finishing
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation required
Hands-on field ability matters more than formal education.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 80 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work outdoors for extended periods
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely operate construction equipment
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full-time during peak construction season
- Longer workdays during pours or large projects
- Saturdays occasionally required during peak workload
