Saw Operator/Shop Assistant
Location: Hull, GA (Athens Area)
Full-Time | Monday–Thursday
Guest Precision Machining is a growing, family-owned CNC machine shop looking for a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in staying organized, and wants to be part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
While this position primarily focuses on material preparation and general shop support, there are opportunities to learn CNC machining and grow within the company for employees who demonstrate initiative and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Operate vertical band saws to cut raw material to required lengths.
- Prepare and stage material for production.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Assist machinists with day-to-day shop tasks.
- Deburr and clean machined parts.
- Load and unload material using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory as needed.
Qualifications
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
