Job Summary
Trinity Recovery Homes is seeking a strong, organized, and compassionate Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to support adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) in a growing multi-site Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) program.
This is a clinical leadership role focused on day-to-day clinical execution within the residential setting. The BHP is responsible for clinical referral screenings, continued-stay reviews, therapeutic oversight, clinical guidance to direct care staff, and oversight of structured behavioral health programming across homes.
The ideal candidate is clinically sharp, strong in documentation, grounded in trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice, and comfortable guiding staff in a residential environment serving adults with complex psychiatric needs.
Responsibilities
- Review and clinically screen new resident referrals for appropriateness, safety, and placement fit
- Complete monthly continued-stay and clinical review documentation that is timely, defensible, and audit-ready
- Provide clinical guidance and behavioral oversight to Behavioral Health Technicians and BHT/Caregiver staff regarding symptom changes, behavioral concerns, group facilitation, and de-escalation strategies
- Oversee therapeutic and behavioral health programming, including consistency of twice-daily groups across homes
- Support clinically appropriate placement decisions, ongoing resident stability, and structured behavioral interventions
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director, Director of Operations, House Managers, health homes, case managers, and external providers as needed
- Participate in case review, interdisciplinary coordination, and clinical planning meetings as assigned
- Maintain timely, accurate, and professional clinical documentation
- Support a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approach to resident care

- Medical or psychiatric provider authority
- Required Qualifications
- Must meet Arizona qualifications to serve as a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP)
- Experience working with adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) in a behavioral health setting
- Strong clinical documentation, assessment, and follow-through skills
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- clinical assessments
- admission screenings
- continued-stay reviews
- treatment planning
- level-of-care determinations
- Experience providing counseling, therapeutic support, or clinically guided behavioral interventions within scope
- Ability to provide clinical guidance and behavioral oversight to direct care staff while maintaining professionalism and boundaries
- Ability to work across multiple residential homes and manage deadlines consistently
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between sites as needed
- Must pass all required background and employment clearancesPreferred Qualifications
- Experience in BHRF, residential behavioral health, crisis, inpatient psychiatry, or community behavioral health
- Experience supporting adults with psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, PTSD, major depression, or co-occurring conditions
- Experience guiding direct care staff in behavioral interventions, crisis response, and de-escalation strategies
- Experience coordinating with health homes, case managers, outpatient teams, hospitals, and referral sources
- Experience working in recovery-oriented, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care environmentsCompensation & Benefits

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional evening or weekend clinical consultation as needed
