Are you a dedicated and compassionate Case Worker looking to join a team. The right person for this position will be responsible for providing support and assistance to children in need, particularly in the areas of child welfare by providing social casework services to abused and neglected children and their families. Complete assessments and/or investigations of reports of abuse or neglect of children to determine risk. Work with family's to ensure safety, as well as, work closely with courts, schools, mental health, and various community agencies to coordinate and provide intervention services for families. Position does require performing paid emergency duty services on a rotating basis with compensation beyond the standard rate of pay.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Previous experience in child welfare, social work, or related fields a plus.
- Familiarity with child welfare policies and procedures a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations.
- Core training of the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program completion a plus.
- PAID $$$ ON-CALL rotating shifts required.
- Must hold a valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain automobile liability insurance.
- Ability to relate to individuals from various social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background checks.
