The Human Resources Manager supports and maintains policies and programs related to day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function while serving as a trusted business partner to leadership. This role develops and executes HR strategies that align with Guerdon’s business objectives, foster employee engagement, strengthen organizational culture, and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws. The Human Resources Manager provides leadership across areas including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, compensation and benefits, compliance, policy development, HR technology, leadership development, and workforce planning. This individual is expected to continuously evaluate and improve HR processes while building strong relationships with leaders and employees throughout the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the Human Resources function by developing and executing strategies that support Guerdon’s long-term business objectives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to leadership on organizational development, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee relations.
  • Oversee all recruiting and talent acquisition activities, including workforce planning, hiring strategies, onboarding, and employer branding.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and best practices that promote consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Lead employee relations initiatives, conducting investigations, resolving complex workplace issues, and providing guidance on employment law and company policies.
  • Maintain ongoing oversight of performance management programs that promote accountability, employee development, and organizational success.
  • Continue to partner with leadership to develop and/or oversee initiatives and management training programs that strengthen supervisory effectiveness throughout the organization.
  • Lead compensation strategy, including market analysis, position leveling, internal equity reviews, salary recommendations, and job classification.
  • Manage employee benefits administration, annual open enrollment, vendor relationships, leave administration, and wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ACA, EEO, OSHA, wage and hour regulations, and other employment-related requirements.
  • Responsible for HRIS administration, reporting, data integrity, audits, system implementations, and process improvements.
  • Develop HR metrics and reporting to provide leadership with meaningful workforce data that supports informed business decisions.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and partner with department leaders to improve communication, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain standardized HR documentation, forms, policies, and employee communications.
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors, staffing agencies, benefit providers, legal counsel, and government agencies.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture-building activities that promote teamwork and employee satisfaction.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Human Resources staff while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of eight (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least three (3) years in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading Human Resources within manufacturing, construction, industrial, or related industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing HR strategy, organizational development initiatives, and process improvement programs.
  • Experience in managing employee relations, investigations, performance management, compensation, compliance, and talent acquisition.
  • Experience implementing or administering HRIS systems and HR technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for developing systems, processes, and organizational efficiencies.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.
  • Ability to work on-site during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.


Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and reach, stoop kneel.
  • Light to moderately lifting is required.
  • Moderate noise (i.e., business offices with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
  • Capable of working in various environmental conditions, including walking through production area with dust, and noise typical of construction sites.
  • Ability to work in shared space.

Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
