Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Attorney at Guercio & Guercio, LLP located in White Plains, NY, focusing in the areas of School Law, Special Education Law, Labor & Employment Law, and Litigation. Prior experience in one or more areas is preferred but not required. The Attorney may be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting legal research, labor arbitrations, impartial hearings, student suspension hearings, and assisting with active cases in state and federal court.
Salary
The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 to $150,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Qualifications
- Strong background in one of the listed practice areas
- Proficiency in legal research
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar
- Experience with representing schools, educational institutions, or local governments is a plus but not required.
