WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Warehouse Manager oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, staging materials for production and dispatch of goods. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing workflows to support organizational goals and inventory accuracy.
YOUR ROLE
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing SOP’s, operational and personnel policies and procedures
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements; insuring adherence to requirements and following GMP & GDP guidelines; advising senior leadership on needed actions
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Controls inventory levels by managing cycle count programs and conducting physical counts as necessary; maintains inventory accuracy and reconcile the data in the ERP system
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees daily and weekly workload
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Maintains warehouse staff work results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as assigned in annual goals and KPI’s
- Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately
- Perform Gemba walks individually and with team members to foster process improvement and corrective actions when areas are not up to pharmaceutical standards
- This position has a lot of interaction with other areas of M&D, such as procurement, planning & scheduling, quality assurance, production and finance. Close monitoring and communication with those other departments is key for the efficient operation of the plant
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
YOUR BACKGROUND
Education, Experience, and/or Skill:
- 4-Year Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field - required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment -required
- High level of expertise in SAP warehouse and inventory applications - required
- Project Management, Inventory Systems Management, creative problem-solving, APICS, and/or 6 Sigma - Preferred
- Strong computer skills, WMS experience and computer applications; preferably Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
Physical Requirements:
- Physical requirements that are needed to complete essential job duties; ability to lift up to 60 lbs. to move materials when needed
- Comfortable working around the warehouse, walking and standing for extended periods to oversee team performance and inspect all areas periodically

- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Analyzing inventory reports to optimize stock levels
- Quickly diagnosing operational issues and implementing effective solutions
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strong organizational skills to manage inventory, staff, and workflows
- Attention to details, multitasking abilities, and technical aptitude
