Job Title: Community Living Support (CLS) Worker – Summer Position
Job Description:
I am seeking a compassionate, reliable, and responsible Community Living Support (CLS) worker for my 13-year-old son this summer. He is living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is wheelchair dependent. This role focuses on providing support, companionship, and assistance with daily activities in a positive and respectful environment.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Summer position (exact dates can be discussed)
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support and supervision
- Assist with daily living activities as needed
- Engage in fun, age-appropriate activities (games, outings, etc.)
- Ensure safety and well-being at all times
- Support mobility needs and wheelchair assistance
- Encourage independence and social interaction
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Patient, caring, and dependable
- Comfortable working with children with physical disabilities
- CPR certification required (BLS training preferred)
- Prior caregiving or CLS experience is a plus, but not required
- Reliable transportation
