Delivery Driver Job Overview:
Guardian Route Solutions is looking for dependable, hardworking FedEx Delivery Drivers to safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and business customers.
As a Delivery Driver, you will represent Guardian Route Solutions and FedEx while providing professional customer service and completing deliveries safely and on time.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced delivery job that requires physical activity, safe driving, organization, and the ability to work independently.
Delivery Driver Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Deliver approximately 90–150 stops per day
- Follow assigned delivery routes and complete deliveries efficiently and on time
- Load and unload packages safely using proper lifting techniques
- Lift and carry packages throughout the workday
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Organize packages inside the delivery vehicle for efficient access
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery records and proof of delivery
- Follow all FedEx Ground, DOT, and company safety procedures
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and delivery quality
- Work outdoors and in various weather conditions
Delivery Driver Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable/clean driving record
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs. using a hand truck
- Ability to work in all types of weather
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass a DOT physical
- Must pass a drug test, including marijuana
- Must be willing to participate in required/random drug screening during employment
- Must pass a FedEx Ground third-party background check
- Must comply with applicable DOT and company safety requirements
