Guardian Roofing is seeking a skilled and motivated Roof Repair Technician / Project Manager to join our growing team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with hands-on roofing experience who also excels at overseeing projects from start to finish.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of roofing systems—including asphalt shingles, metal, and flat roofs—as well as performing related exterior repairs such as siding, soffit, and fascia. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
In addition to repair work, this role includes full Project Management responsibilities for new roof installations. The PM will be on-site for the duration of each install, coordinating materials, ensuring quality workmanship, and serving as the primary point of contact for homeowners.
Key Responsibilities
Roof Repair Technician
- Install, repair, and maintain various roofing systems
- Inspect roofs to determine repair or replacement needs
- Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces
- Apply waterproofing, insulation, and other protective materials
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with other construction professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
- Document work performed and report issues as needed
Project Manager
- Oversee each new installation from start to finish to ensure quality and professionalism
- Pick up required materials from the company warehouse prior to installation
- Acquire additional materials during the job if needed (company card provided)
- Maintain updated job progress photos in CompanyCam
- Meet homeowners on-site, provide updates, and address questions or concerns
- Ensure continuous cleanup throughout the day, with special attention to nails and debris
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of roofing or construction experience
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials and installation techniques
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Vocational training or roofing certification is a plus
Schedule
- Monday–Friday standard schedule
- Occasional weekend work as needed
