Director of Clinical Services
Location: Monterey, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Setting: Residential PHP/IOP Behavioral Health Programs
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Clinical Services to oversee clinical operations across our Monterey region programs, including a 12-bed residential treatment facility and local PHP/IOP services. This leader will provide strong clinical oversight, staff supervision, and operational collaboration to ensure exceptional patient care and program excellence.
The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health treatment settings, with eating disorder treatment experience strongly preferred. This individual should be a collaborative leader who is passionate about patient care, team development, and maintaining high clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to therapists and clinical staff across residential and PHP/IOP levels of care
- Oversee treatment planning, documentation quality, and clinical programming
- Facilitate and lead process groups and treatment team meetings
- Participate directly in patient care activities, including meal support and family communication
- Coordinate care with outpatient providers and referral sources
- Partner closely with Operations and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Support staff development, coaching, and performance management
- Participate in community outreach and relationship-building activities
- Maintain a strong presence across both treatment locations within the Monterey region
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active California clinical licensure preferred (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, or similar)
- Experience working in behavioral health treatment settings required
- Eating disorder treatment experience strongly preferred
- Prior leadership or clinical supervision experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of documentation standards, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary care coordination
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time, on-site position
- Requires presence onsite 5 days per week
- Responsibilities will be shared between the residential and PHP/IOP programs
- Minimal travel required
