Detox Nurse (RN) – Night Shift | Inpatient Detox

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Detox Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our inpatient detox team on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This role plays a key part in supporting patients through withdrawal management, stabilization, and early recovery in a structured clinical setting.

This position requires night shift availability and at least one weekend shift, up to three times per month.

Schedule

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Shift Requirement: Up to 3 shifts weekend shifts per month
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients undergoing detoxification
• Administer medications per physician orders and detox protocols
• Perform withdrawal assessments (CIWA, COWS, etc.)
• Respond to medical or psychiatric changes during overnight hours
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with on-call providers and clinical staff
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with facility protocols

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license (state-specific)
• Experience in detox, substance use disorder treatment, psychiatric, or acute care preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
• Calm, compassionate, and professional bedside manner

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• detox protocol: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
