About the RoleThe Leasing Agent plays a key role in supporting day-to-day property operations by helping fill vacancies, guiding prospective residents through the leasing process, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is a full-time, non-exempt position ideal for someone who is personable, organized, and comfortable using technology.
This role is responsible for managing inquiries, conducting tours, supporting leasing activities, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for prospects and residents. No prior leasing experience is required—training is provided—but a strong customer service mindset is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Marketing
- Schedule and conduct in-person and virtual property tours
- Showcase community features and apartment amenities
- Guide applicants through the leasing and application process
- Prepare and explain lease agreements and documentation
- Manage and update online listings and marketing materials
- Support marketing efforts, including social media and outreach
Customer Service & Resident Experience
- Greet and assist prospective residents in a professional and friendly manner
- Provide accurate information on availability, pricing, and lease terms
- Respond to phone, email, and online inquiries promptly
- Deliver a positive and seamless pre-move-in experience
- Assist with lease renewals and move-in coordination
Operations & Administrative Duties
- Prepare units for showings and ensure readiness
- Conduct property inspections for cleanliness and presentation
- Maintain accurate records of leads, applications, and leases
- Collect and document application fees, deposits, and rent payments
- Update leasing systems and databases
- Support reporting on leasing activity and performance metrics
Compliance & Communication
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations
- Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and leadership
- Maintain professional and clear documentation of all interactions
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience & Skills
- Leasing, Customer service or Sales experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable using computers, mobile apps, and digital platforms
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Friendly, dependable, and self-motivated
- Willingness to learn leasing processes and property management systems
- Hourly Rate: $20–$22 per hour
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday. Occasional overtime as needed
