Position: Full Time Field Service Forklift Mechanic/ Technician
Our shop is located in Spring Grove, IL
Field Service Forklift Technician Job Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all makes of lift trucks. Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks. Drive a company van (must be able to take home). Our customers are located in the Chicagoland area (servicing Lake, McHenry and Cook Counties and Southeast Wisconsin). Maintain the company vehicle and its inventory. Process paperwork after completion of each job. Must be able to handle stress in a fast-paced environment and ensure deadlines are met. Ability to concentrate on details and multitask. Must be able to follow company policies and procedures Ability to lift 50-70 lbs. Adhere to safety practices, programs and safely operate lift trucks.
Qualifications needed: High school diploma or equivalent. AT LEAST 1 year of Mechanicall work experience is needed. Valid driver's license and CLEAN driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Experience: 1 year of previous auto mechanic work or technical training (diesel and hydraulic). Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of testing various types of equipment, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. Good mechanical and electrical skills. Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
