KS1 Teacher – Enfield – September 2026

A warm, ambitious primary school in Enfield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join their committed team from September 2026. This is a contractual KS1 Teacher role on a term-time basis within a school rated Good by Ofsted, celebrated for its nurturing ethos, structured early years and KS1 provision, and genuine commitment to giving every child the strongest possible start.

About The School

This Enfield primary school serves a vibrant and diverse community with high expectations woven into every aspect of school life. KS1 teaching is phonics-led, evidence-based, and carefully sequenced to build early reading, writing, and mathematical fluency with rigour and creativity. Behaviour is guided by consistent, age-appropriate whole-school frameworks that create calm, purposeful classrooms where young learners feel safe and ready to thrive. Enrichment including creative arts, outdoor learning, and family learning events reflects the school's commitment to developing well-rounded, curious children across every year group.

What The School Offers

  • Structured CPD with clear pathways into subject or phase leadership over time
  • A warm, supportive staff culture with dedicated mentoring for every KS1 Teacher
  • Collaborative year group planning with shared resources and manageable workload expectations
  • Strong parental engagement and a close-knit community that supports classroom learning
  • A well-resourced school with visible, approachable SLT and a genuine open-door culture

The Role

As a KS1 Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the KS1 curriculum, using observation and assessment data to track individual pupil progress and inform your teaching. You will contribute to year group planning, support transition between EYFS and KS2, and build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues throughout the year.

What The School Is Looking For

This KS1 Teacher position will suit candidates who:

  • Hold British QTS or are completing a UK-accredited teacher training programme
  • Graduated with a 2:1 or above from a reputable UK university
  • Have classroom experience within a UK primary school through placements or a substantive post, ideally with KS1 experience
  • Show clear evidence of structured lesson delivery and measurable pupil progress in early reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Are legally entitled to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available

ECT applicants are warmly welcomed provided formal UK teacher training has been completed.
