Cookery Teaching Assistant | Job Summary
- Graduate Cookery Teaching Assistant - Commencing in May or September
- Full-time, term-time only role
- Work alongside experienced SEMH professionals and Specialist Teachers
- £100-£110 per day (dependent on experience)
- Support students across Key Stages 3-5 in practical cookery lessons and core academic subjects.
- Assist in delivering structured food technology sessions, promoting independence and life skills.
- Work with students with SEMH, ASD, trauma-related needs, and behavioural challenges.
- Provide targeted interventions in small groups (up to 6 students) and on a 1:1 basis.
- Use cookery as a tool to improve engagement, routine, and emotional regulation
- Support the safe use of kitchen equipment and maintain a structured learning environment
- Contribute to the wider school day within an Alternative Provision setting
