Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Document care activities, patient observations, and any incidents thoroughly in compliance with facility policies.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients, fostering a caring and respectful atmosphere that upholds residents' rights.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with individuals in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use patient transfer equipment effectively; manual handling skills are essential.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a dynamic caregiving environment.

Pay: $16.94 - $18.00 per hour
