What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at Guardian Healthcare Solutions?
Duties may include but not limited to:
- Performing billing and collection activities by communicating with physician offices, payor representatives and patients
- Working with payors and offices on payment denials/rejections and accuracy of payments
- Monitoring patient accounts and setting up patient payment plans
- Performing insurance verifications
- Posting payments
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5 years medical billing experience required
- An understanding of medical and insurance terminology, policies and procedures
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously but also with others in a team/group environment
Compensation and Benefits:
- $20 - 24 /hr commensurate with experience plus bonuses
