Construction/Projects Installer

Description

Summary/Objective:

In this position, you will work as part of a team to install Piping, Tanks and Mechanical Systems that operate fueling facilities as well as provide backup emergency power -  involves installing new dispensers, installing new pipes and fixing leaking pipes, cutting thread-bare pipes, installing new spill buckets, replacing dispensers and sump boots, and working with concrete. Examples include service stations, marinas, hospitals, airports and more. We provide on-site, classroom and factory training for the equipment we install.

Essential Job Functions:

• Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a construction truck.
• Ability to read a blueprint.
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Physically fit with the ability to climb a ladder and lift 50 lbs.
• Assist with the job foreman shooting grades and paperwork
• Strong Safety Record
• Self-motivated, mature and responsible - able to work as part of a team
• The ability to operate small machinery such as a skid steer or backhoe is a plus
• Ability to work out of town from time to time
• Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Construction background, ability to operate hand tools such as pipe-wrench, sockets, etc.
• Very basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment will be helpful.
• Skilled in providing excellent customer relations by exchanging information with courtesy and consideration.
• Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of an organization internally and externally.
• Ability to be trained to read and interpret schematics and understand necessary service and training manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an outdoor environment (construction site).

Physical Demands:

This role is primarily physical in nature.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position.

Travel:

• Minimal, local travel is expected for this position.
• Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
