What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiber Technicians – Nationwide Broadband Projects position at Guardian Fiber Solutions?
Guardian Fiber Solutions is building a nationwide network of experienced fiber technicians to support broadband infrastructure projects across the United States.
We are currently seeking experienced:
- Fiber Technicians
- Fiber Splicers
- FTTH Installers
- OSP Fiber Technicians
- Telecom Cabling Technicians
Technicians in the Guardian Fiber Solutions network are contacted when new broadband construction projects become available.
Typical work may include:
- Fiber optic splicing and termination
- Installing and testing fiber optic cable
- FTTH installations
- OSP fiber construction
- Fiber troubleshooting and testing (OTDR, power meter, etc.)
Requirements:
- 2 years fiber optic experience preferred
- Ability to travel for project-based work
- Must be able to work as an independent contractor (1099)
Projects vary in duration and location depending on contractor needs.
