Job Description:
Guardian Drug Company is looking for a Controller to join our office in Dayton, NJ. As head of the accounting department, the Controller will manage and supervise all aspects of accounting, including financial reporting and payroll.
This is a hands-on role overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the accounting department and day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close activities.
- Oversee financial reporting and prepare financial statements.
- Oversee account reconciliations and ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee inventory and cost accounting.
- Provide support for external audits.
- Coordinate tax-related matters and support tax preparation and filing.
- Oversee compliance reporting.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, accounting software, and financial tools is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential preferred.
- Prior experience in the life sciences industry preferred.
Salary : $125,000 - $160,000
