What are the responsibilities and job description for the LENDING AGENT position at Guardian Credit Union External?
Analyzes and verifies loan applications to determine eligibility, cross sell opportunities, aid in disbursing funds, and set up debt repayment plans via phone, email and fax. This position will also assist with out bound calling to indirect lending members.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility for loans and identifies the best loan products, deposit products and services to meet the financial needs of our members. Serves as an effective liaison between the member and Underwriting team by fully capturing the member’s story in loan notes to assist Underwriting in making sound decisions.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all credit union products and services to include lending products and solutions. Maintains or exceeds established loan goal throughout the year. Ensures member is protected by educating on the benefits of available products (Credit Life, Disability, GAP, MBP).
- Ensures loan applications are complete and correct with detailed notes, and counsels applicants on loan repayment policies and restrictions.
- Assist with working tickets, outbound calls , complex member research and requests to include but not limited to loan maintenance and
debit/credit card issues.
