What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Account Manager position at Guardian Construction?
We are seeking a dynamic, confident, organized, and highly personable professional who is driven to build relationships and create new business opportunities. Experience with multi-family housing is required. This position will be required to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This position will work closely with management, accounting, project and construction staff, customers and vendors. This position must communicate with all levels of management and non-management personnel in a professional and responsive manner. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer and vendor relationships, attending networking events, meeting with customers to accurately determine the needs of their property as well as any other duties as assigned to support a growing team.
Account Manager Roles/Responsibilities
Ø Operational:
o Help hit all schedules utilizing Builder Trend or current scheduling software.
o Set and hit new yearly Sales goals that border those which are challenging but attainable.
o Take calls and facilitate emergency after-hours calls. (Delegate tasks)
o Maintain project status in Jonas Premier
o Help maintain Core Values.
o Brainstorm new ideas/methods for improvement and reduce exposure to mistakes.
o Computer proficiency- Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook),Builder Trend & Company Cam, Jonas Premier.
Ø Proposal and Budgets:
o Organize/build budgets/help set up & attend walks and review all projects before submitting to clients with your individual Operations Manager.
o Continued oversite on project cost and subcontractor pricing to ensure the success of each job/client.
Ø Managerial Duties:
o All managerial responsibilities (Personal Expense reports)
o Review AR Reports/Open Estimates/Open Contracts with each OM or Office Manager weekly or as often reports are sent out. (Be proactive…you control your job being closed out)
Ø Training:
o Attend various forms of continuing education training or growth meetings throughout the year.
o Work side by side with Operations team.
o Attend weekly progress meetings to review all jobs and go over pending walks/bids.
o Work within VP appointed mentorship program as a Mentor or Mentee.
Ø Client Relations:
o Facilitate new leads generated by ownership or National Sales Team as well as selling/developing new clients.
o Maintain a professional appearance/Grooming/Dress Code. (Lead by example)
o Track and help respond in a timely manner to client requests/issues/inquiries.
o Ensure that bids go out in a timely manner,
o Periodically travel to outreach markets if necessary for new leads as well to ensure quality control throughout the duration of the project.
o Follow up with each client and bid until it is either awarded to Guardian or is given away.
o Attend some form of Apartment Association events to get Guardians name further in the market.
*Salary indicated is base pay, additional commission will fluctuate based on sales. Health Insurance, PTO, 401 K, and mileage are provided in addition to salary.
