Guardian Community Care is currently hiring Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide high-quality, compassionate in-home care to our clients. We are seeking dependable, caring professionals who are passionate about helping others maintain independence and dignity at home.
Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in their home. The ideal candidate will assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patient health, and promote a safe and comfortable environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with their daily routines and health needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide medication reminders (non-administration)
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed
- Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying client areas)
- Run errands and assist with shopping or appointments
- Prepare simple meals or assist with meal prep
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
Available Shifts
We offer flexible scheduling based on your availability:
- 4-hour, 8-hour, and 12-hour shifts
- Additional shift lengths available
- Overnight shifts
- Weekend shifts
Shifts may vary depending on client needs, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling app.
Pay
$15.50–$18.00 per hour
(Pay based on experience, credentials, and assignment type.)
Qualifications
Required for All Applicants
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of personal care or CNA experience
- Ability to pass background and reference checks
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide quality senior and patient care
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and medication schedules accurately
- Experience working with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory care residents is a plus
