Guardian Angels Homecare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Caregiver to join our team in Branford, CT. As a Caregiver with our organization, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with bathing, personal care, grooming, dressing, and undressing
- Support clients who cannot move on their own, including turning, positioning, and transferring
- Monitor skin care, observation, and treatment
- Ensure clients receive their medication on time and cue reminders
- Provide necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment and make beds
- Perform laundry, meal preparation, and planning according to clients' restrictions
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and grocery shopping
- Offer socialization, conversation, and emotional support
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year home care experience
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license and insured vehicle
- Ability to perform housework and cooking
- Hoyer lift experience is a plus
- Well-organized and reliable
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to read and write in English
- High school diploma or equivalent
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends
