Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role located in Fresno, CA, for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). The LVN will provide direct nursing care to program participants, monitor their health, provide continence training, and assist in daily health-related tasks. The role also involves maintaining accurate health records, communicating with the R.N. as well as upper management, and ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations. Qualifications
- Hmong speaker required
- Current and active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of California; 2 years' experience as an LVN in geriatrics preferred; demonstrated experience in coordinating, assessment skills, supervision, and training; ability to work well under stress, be flexible and adaptable to a changing environment
- Demonstrated skills and experience to assess and monitor senior/ elderly health care; provide counseling; conduct health education/ training programs; maintain accurate, written and oral reports; use of sound judgement in emergency situations; deal effectively with families, staff, and community
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate documentation and medical records
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with patients, families, and professionals
- Ability to assume other roles as needed in the course of program activities
- Flexibility, initiative, creativity and excellent organizational and time management skills
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
