Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Para Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will assist classroom teachers in providing a positive and effective learning experience for our students. This role is essential in supporting individual student needs, facilitating small group instruction, and helping to maintain a structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the delivery of instructional activities and classroom management.
- Support individual students and small groups with academic tasks and assignments.
- Assist in the preparation of educational materials and resources.
- Provide supervision during recess, lunch, and other school activities.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere in the classroom.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the well-being and development of students.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must pass a background check.
Hours: This is a part-time position, approximately 22-27 hours per week.
