Foster Care Case Aide -
We are seeking a Foster Care Case Aide to provide assistance to caseworkers as directed by the supervisor/director. The ideal candidate will have experience in foster care and be able to provide transportation, monitor visits, and file/organize case records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide assistance to caseworkers as directed by the supervisor/director that includes but is not limited to transportation, monitoring visits and case record filing/organizing.
2. Maintain complete, accurate, and current service reports/case notes as it relates to monitoring visits (sibling visits, visits with biological parents).
3. Prepare such records, reports, and file materials as required by DCFS.
4. Submit reports/detailed documentation as required by the program supervisor/director.
5. Perform on-call duties as needed to carry out the responsibilities of the Foster Care Program.
6. Communicate problems and issues within the department to the program supervisor.
7. Assist GACS administration in any investigation against conduct that is illegal.
8. Complete all mandatory agency and job specific training.
9. Perform other duties as assigned. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
10. Attend required staff meetings, agency meetings, and such other meetings as requested by the Program Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Illinois driver's license.
- Associate or Bachelor degree
- Ability to work with DCFS, courts, and other social service systems.
- Access to a vehicle for client transportation and outreach counseling when an agency vehicle is not available, and proof of personal auto insurance.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socio economic characteristics of persons served.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
Pay: $19.68 - $21.00 per hour
