- Drive effective organizational and operational planning and execution for the Biopharma business, including annual planning cycles, budget tracking, and performance reporting.
- Partner closely with the SVP and leadership team to coordinate business priorities, manage deliverables, and ensure timely follow-up on key actions and initiatives.
- Lead the development and management of the Biopharma operating budget, including vendor engagement, purchase order submission, invoice tracking, and collaboration with Finance and Procurement.
- Oversee vendor management processes for general Biopharma operations, including RFPs, SOW tracking, performance reviews, and contract renewals in collaboration with Legal and Finance teams.
- Plan and execute major departmental meetings and events, including quarterly business reviews, leadership offsites, and all-hands meetings.
- Expected to liaise with several teams within Commercial BioPharma team, like: Commercial BioPharma Operations, BioPharma Translational teams.
- Streamline onboarding for new team members, ensuring consistent processes, materials, and introductions across the Biopharma organization.
- Implement and refine business processes and tools to improve team efficiency, transparency, and communication across multiple functions and geographies.
- Serve as a key liaison between Biopharma and cross-functional partners in Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Corporate Communications.
- Develop and maintain internal documentation, project trackers, and other organizational tools to support alignment and accountability.
- Support the preparation of executive materials and presentations for internal and external audiences.
- May handle expense reporting, light travel and calendaring for SVP.
- Monitor and report key operational metrics, proactively identifying areas for process improvement and optimization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience, including program management or business operations type roles within a commercial or biopharma organization.
- Demonstrated success managing complex operational programs, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven experience with vendor management, including budgeting, contracts, and procurement processes.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; able to build strong working relationships across levels and functions.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Advanced proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office, Smartsheet, and similar applications).
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and drive alignment across matrixed teams. Travel may be up to 10–15%.
Hybrid Work Model: This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies. Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Salary : $119,800 - $164,750
